Nursery Program
CIS Nursery Program is designed to give the children foundation skills, and thereby prepare them for the kindergarten program. Children learn basic emotional and social skills to help them be effective members of a group. They are shown how to take care of their surroundings. Academic performance is not a priority in the nursery; rather, the focus is on building creativity, curiosity, self-esteem, concentration and independence using “child centered approach.”
Kindergarten Program
The CIS Kindergarten program is designed for children whose age ranges from 3 to 4. The day begins with circle time followed by conversational classes where K 1 and K ll learn separately. The classrooms are divided into 2 sections. One section is assigned to games and activities corner and another section is assigned as reading and learning corner. Our goal is to stimulate children into playing, working and learning by themselves. English, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education and Moral Values are included in the class curriculum.
Key stage 1 to3
From 5 to 13 years of age, CIS followed the National Curriculum of UK. Specialist teachers deliver a balanced programme broadly based on the National Curriculum. This includes the core subjects of English Language, Mathematics & Science. Additional subjects taken by all students are Social Studies, Physical Education, Information & Communication Technology, Thai language & Culture, Modern Foreign languages and Religious Education (Islamic Studies).
Key Stage 4
This is the foundation of the British Curriculum from 14 to 15 years which is based around the syllabus for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). All students take at least eight subjects, and sit for the externally set and marked examination at the end of year 11. English, Mathematics and Science are compulsory subjects and other subjects depend on student interests.
