ADMISSION PROCESS

Prospective students who wish to apply to Crescent International School, Bangkok will need to complete an application form in order to be considered against the admissions criteria and be offered a place. Applications are considered in chronological order of receipt. We welcome new applications throughout the academic year.

Important Note: Completing the online application form is mandatory for all prospective students before visiting the school premises. In-person applications are no longer accepted.

Step 1: Online Application

1. Visit our website and complete the Web Admissions Form.
2. Along with the form, you will need to submit:

  • Photocopy of Parents’ and Child’s Passports and Visas
  • Photocopy of Child’s Birth Certificate
  • Passport-size photographs (not older than 6 months)
  • Official transcript or report cards for TWO years prior to current grade level (translated into English)
  • Educational assessment or specialist reports (where applicable or requested)

Step 2: Application Review and Assessment

Once your complete application is received, the Admissions Office will review it. They may request additional information from you or your child’s previous school.

If the initial screening is successful, Crescent International School will contact you to schedule age-specific assessments for your child. These may include:

  • Early Years: Informal and practical activities in the classroom.
  • Primary and Secondary: Written tests in English, math, and science; a meeting with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT); and a half-day in class.

Step 3: Admission Decision and Next Steps

You will be notified regarding your child’s application status.

If offered a place, the Admissions Office will discuss the fee schedule with you. Additionally, the Medical Examination Form needs to be completed and returned before your child’s start date.

Please note: Although the school welcomes students of all nationalities, English is the primary language of instruction. English language proficiency is essential for full participation in the curriculum.

The school offers a limited number of places in their English Language Support (ELS) program for students from Reception to Year 9.

All families must complete the mandatory Health Form and submit it to the School Office by the beginning of the term.

CIS provides subject notebooks for students. Homeroom teachers may require specific items to be provided by parents. In addition, parents are asked to ensure each child has the appropriate backpack or satchel to carry books and homework.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Our School Dress Code is important to us. It is one way in which we identify ourselves as a school community and it promotes a strong, cohesive school identity that supports high standards and expectations in all areas of school life. It promotes harmony between different groups represented in the school, and it enhances security. All parents are required to purchase the appropriate uniform items from our office.

IS THERE A DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION?

No, as Crescent International School, Bangkok has a rolling admissions policy, applications for admissions are welcomed throughout the year with acceptance based on program suitability and space availability.

WHAT ARE THE SCHOOL HOURS?

School begins at 07:20 and ends at 15:10, Monday-Friday.The After-School Activity program runs from Monday-Friday from 15:30 to 16:30.

WHAT IS THE SCHOOL CALENDAR?

Crescent typically strives to follow the International school calendar as closely as possible. Our school year generally begins the 3nd week of August and finishes in the 3rd week of June. WHAT DO STUDENTS NEED TO BRING WITH THEM ON THEIR FIRST DAY?

Students should bring a pencil case, a backpack and a nutritious mid-morning snack. Students not enrolled in the  lunch program should bring a packed lunch.
