In 2011, the Crescent Educational Foundation (CEF) was formally established as a fully licensed charitable foundation (Registration No: Go.Tho. 2111). CEF now operates as the umbrella organization supporting Crescent International School. The Foundation’s mission is to provide educational opportunities to children in Thailand—regardless of culture, nationality, or religion—who might otherwise be unable to afford a quality education.
CEF currently supports the education of several orphaned children and offers partial academic scholarships to families based on individual financial circumstances. Beyond its direct support to the school, the Foundation also contributes to a variety of community-based initiatives, including charities supporting the visually impaired, homes for the elderly, and flood relief efforts across Thailand.
Although CIS was established earlier in 2008, it was founded on the shared vision of a committed group of benefactors that included politicians, diplomats, and members of the local business community. At the time, many families faced difficult choices—whether to prioritise quality education or basic necessities, which children to educate, and for how long.
Today, more than a decade later, that dilemma no longer exists. CIS has positioned itself to provide quality education to all children who need it, for as long as they need it. As a not-for-profit organisation, all surplus funds are reinvested directly back into the school to enhance facilities, strengthen the curriculum, expand resources, and sustain financial support programs for students and families.
