SCHOOL HISTORY

Crescent International School (CIS) was established in 2008 with the vision of nurturing multicultural students equipped with the talents, skills, and values needed to thrive in a diverse and ever-changing world. The school is committed to fostering a happy and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to think independently and make meaningful choices that support their future growth.

The establishment of CIS was initiated under the Crescent Educational Foundation (CEF) in 2008 through the collaborative efforts of a group of dedicated individuals. This group included the former Ambassador of Qatar to Thailand, Mr. Abadalla Al Hamar; former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Mr. Wan Mohammad Noor Matha; respected business leaders such as Mr. Fofana Djime and Mr. Aroon Denyingyoch; along with a group of passionate educators. Together, they pooled their resources and expertise with the shared goal of serving the Thai community, particularly supporting access to quality education for the less privileged.

CIS began operations in the first quarter of the 2008 academic year with 150 students of various nationalities and 18 dedicated educators, located on a 2,000-square-meter campus in the heart of Bangkok. Over the years, the school has continued to grow steadily in both student enrolment and academic excellence.

Today, CIS remains committed to its founding mission—to serve the needs of young learners regardless of race, creed, or religious belief—while continuously striving to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality educational experience for all students.
